Your clips and photos

Add your own footage, cut it on the beat with transitions, and keep text readable over it.

Add clips and photos

Press Media in the bar under the editor, or drop files onto the timeline. Razzle takes MP4, MOV and WebM videos and PNG, JPEG and WebP photos. Each file is added to the video's project, so your team can open the video on another device and every file is there.

Photos opens the free photo library: products, food, places, festivals and app screens you can use in any post.

Uploads count toward your team's storage (2 GB on Free). The Media page shows what's used per project, and you can remove files there.

Cut on the beat

Clips sit on the video track, measured in beats, so cuts land on the music. Click a clip to change it:

  • Transition: a hard cut, crossfade, flash, light leak, slide, whip, zoom, zoom out, spin or fade. Most beat-synced Reels use hard cuts with an occasional zoom or whip.
  • Motion: a slow push in or pull out keeps photos alive.
  • Dim: how much the footage is darkened so the words stay readable. Around 30% keeps footage punchy; raise it over bright sky or white walls.
  • Trim: drag the clip's edges on the timeline, or set where it starts in the recording.

Tips for footage Reels

  • More clips make better cuts: about one clip per second is typical for fast edits.
  • Put clips in the order the words talk about them.
  • Keep shouted lines (full-frame colour cuts) for one or two big moments, so the footage shows.
